Privacy
City by Month has no accounts, no ads and no forms, and its own pages set no cookies. Cloudflare, the company that serves the site, checks for automated traffic and counts page views.
Last updated : the site's new name and address; the check for automated traffic, as seen at the new address on 2 October 2026.
Who is responsible
The publisher is Alex, in Canada. Write to hello@aicityinfo.com. More: About.
What Cloudflare records
Cloudflare, Inc. serves these pages for us. When you open a page, four things can happen.
1. The page is delivered
- Data: your IP address, details of your browser and the address of the page.
- Why: to send you the page and to stop attacks.
- On your device: nothing.
- Kept: "for a limited period of time", in data centres in the United States and Europe, Cloudflare says. The number of days: no data.
2. A check for automated traffic
- Data: details of the request and of your browser that tell a person from a program. If a test is shown, it runs a script in your browser.
- Why: to keep automated abuse off the site. A visitor judged to be a program may be shown a test or blocked. The decision is made by machine.
- On your device: nothing on a normal visit: on we saw no cookie set. If a test is shown, Cloudflare sets a cookie named
cf_clearance, which its page says lasts 30 minutes by default, and may set a cookie named__cf_bm, which ends after 30 minutes without activity, and cookies whose names start withcf_chl_.
3. Page views are counted
- Data: the address of the page, the page that linked to it, and how fast it loaded. Cloudflare adds a script to the page for this.
- Why: to see which pages are read and how fast they load.
- On your device: nothing. No cookie and no stored data. Cloudflare says it discards the IP address and does not fingerprint visitors.
- Kept: in full for 7 days, then cut to a sample of about 10%.
4. Failed connections may be reported
- Data: if your browser cannot reach the site, it may send Cloudflare a short report: the address, the kind of error and the time.
- Why: to find network faults.
- On your device: no cookie. Your browser remembers for 7 days that it may send these reports.
- Kept: Cloudflare says it takes the network, country and city area from the IP address, then drops the address when the request ends.
Each statement about Cloudflare comes from its own pages, listed under Sources and read on .
Cookies
Our own pages set no cookies. On a normal visit Cloudflare sets none either. If it shows you a test, it sets the cookies named above. Cloudflare calls them strictly necessary and says it makes a separate cookie for each site, so they do not follow you from site to site. They are used only for security, so the site shows no cookie banner.
Older pages and Google Analytics
Until October 2026 this site had another name and address (see About), and its older pages loaded Google Analytics. It set cookies whose names start with _ga, which last up to 2 years. Those pages have been removed, and no page now loads Google Analytics. A _ga cookie left in your browser for the old address is not read by anything. You can delete it in your browser's settings.
Mail to hello@aicityinfo.com is forwarded by Cloudflare to the owner's mailbox and kept there. We use it to reply and to fix the page. Ask us to delete your message and we will. Whether Cloudflare keeps a copy after forwarding: no data. A reply may come from a different address.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share personal data. We run no ads, build no profiles and send no newsletters.
Your choices and rights
You can read every page without giving us anything. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to hello@aicityinfo.com. The only personal data we hold ourselves is mail sent to us. Send requests about Cloudflare's records to us too.
You may also complain to the privacy regulator where you live. In Canada that is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes. Before any ad or analytics tag is added to the site, this page is changed first.
